Hello World
I have no idea what the appeal of blogging is, so I thought I would give it a try. Never too old to learn, although I have to say that most social applications confuse me; Facebook for instance is still a mystery to me. I have no idea why people would rather communicate that way than use simple emails. And so far, I do not see why anyone wants to put their thoughts out there for all to see; I am hoping that this blog will give me an insight into that.
So, this blog is intended partly as a learning experience for me. It is also partly intended as an outlet for those who wish to bash someone, if they really want to be bothered. I was a foopets player, addicted to the sweet pets, and the blog that I follow has been a life-line to many who have been hurt or confused by the game, those in charge of it, and others. I find it strange that all the subsequent woes of those who seemed to be bullies in foo are now blamed on that blog and a few posters there, including myself. Since I neither know any of those people nor care what happens to them on or off foo, their weird perception is just funny to me. A tip, here; if you want to get under anyone's skin, you need to make sure that there is at least some truth at the basis of your accusations.
Feel free to post whatever you like here, BUT if you post unkind things about any identifiable person OTHER than myself, your post will be edited or deleted, because for some reason people get upset at such things. You may of course post whatever you want to about me if you wish, and if I am truly that important to you. I am very lucky in that I really do not mind in the slightest what people think of me, and it is of no interest to me either if they don't think of me at all.
The blog that I follow is the Fooscooper, originally intended I believe to talk about the Foo Poo fiasco. It has grown, thanks to its amazing owner, into an information sheet and help to current and former players. It has been, and still is, very useful as a place to pool information and discuss things that the Admins and ambassadors on foo would block on its forums. FooScooper's owner does her best to get the hottest Foo news, and sometimes people post to discuss that news. When the game nearly died but was gradually brought back to life, it was a lifeline for some players. Most of the time, things are discussed in a quiet fashion and with good humour; occasionally a troll wanders in, and then all sorts of silly things are assumed and stated. The Fooscooper's owner has a wonderful way of maintaining her anti-censorship stance whilst keeping troll activity down.
Recently, some people assumed that the blog was intended to damage foo or to "run off" players from the game. I cannot imagine how they got that idea, nor why such bizarre behaviour erupted, but I do find it a slightly interesting study of human behaviour as well as faintly amusing.
